Liesl

I’m Evie, I have been involved with performing and acting since I was 5, so for 13 years.

I have been in the sound of music before but I played Louisa, so it’s nice to be the eldest of the pack this time!

I studied Drama stage and screen at CAPA College in Wakefield and have gone onto studying Screen Acting at University, despite a passion for stage, I wanted to broaden my horizons and study screen acting also.

I love performing and the buzz that comes with it and can’t wait to bring Liesl to the stage.

Gretl

Poppy is 8 years old. She absolutely loves performing and has attended the Chris and Lucy Beaumont school of dance since the age of three.

She enjoys performing in their fantastic bi-annual shows and attends a variety of dancing classes including ballet, theatrecraft, musical theatre, freestyle, jazz, commercial, acro and lyrical. Poppy also attends weekly singing lessons in school.

Poppy recently performed in her first pantomime in Jack and the Beanstalk as part of the junior ensemble at the Bradford Playhouse and is also part of her dancing schools competition team.

Poppy is really looking forward to performing as Gretl in the Sound of Music. When Poppy is not dancing in the studio, she loves making up her own dances at home and playing with her cat ‘Charlie’.

Louisa

Hi my name's Billie and I'm 10 years old and I play Louisa.
I attend Chris & Lucy Beaumont School of Dance where I attend Acro / Lyrical / Musical Theatre / Commercial and Jazz and I was just in the Christmas pantomime jack & the beanstalk at Bradford playhouse. I have been performing on the stage since I was 3 years old.
I absolutely love to sing, dance and perform and I'm pretty good at it too.
I have played over the years the scarecrow in the Wizard Of Oz, 2 parts in Oliver Twist and had various solo performances on stage.
I am very happy to have this part and very excited to perform again on stage - twice a year with CLB just isn't enough haha!
In the future I would love to sing and dance in the west end!

Marta

Paige is a keen singer, dancer and actor with a dream to go to New York Film School when she’s old enough.
Paige has attended the Martinicca Theatre School since the age of 4, winning over 300 medals, trophies and awards. Paige most recently achieved a distinction with a top score of 95% in her grade 2 Screen Acting exam as well as being a global finalist and one of only two children representing the UK in her category in the World Monologue Games 2024.
Paige’s most recent stage appearance was as Flounder in The Little Mermaid where she got to showcase her American accent and she’s very excited to be cast in the role of Marta.
As well as being a stage performer Paige has a love for screen acting, making her big screen debut at the age of 6 in feature film The Railway Children Return and more recently opening the 2023 ITV Britain Get Talking Campaign in support of children’s mental health, and starring in the 2024 McDonalds Christmas Advert.

Kurt

Hi, I'm Isaac, and I'm playing the role of Kurt. Sound of music will be my 9th show, but my first with Heckmondwike players. All the cast are lovely and I think this show is going to be amazing.Ive played a variety of roles from Bruce in Matilda to Maurice in beauty and the beast.I can't wait to step on stage and make this production come to life. Hope you enjoy the show.

Friedrich

Hello! I'm Harry and I'm playing Friedrich.

This is my first show with Heckmondwike players but I still feel fully included, everyone here is so welcoming and talented.

Since starting amature dramstics I'm proud to have done a range of shows from We Will Rock You to Shakespeare's 'The Comedy of Errors'.

I hope you enjoy watching the show as much as I love performing in it.

Brigitta

Hi my name is Amelia I am 8 years old and I am playing the role of Brigitta.

I love to sing and dance as it is my passion.

I currently take singing lessons and I am apart of central point dance musical theatre group.

I am also a member of blue gems majorettes and have been dancing with them since I was 3 years old.
