Jeremy Shoesmith - Director

I began my Amateur Dramatic career with Cleckheaton & Spenborough Amateurs in 1986 taking the part of Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof, and my first with Heckmondwike Players in South Pacific in 1988 and have never stopped performing since, taking many lead roles with the Players and other local societies.

I made my directing debut in 2003 directing The Sound of Music for the Players whilst also playing the lead role of Cpt Von Trapp. I have since directed several other shows for the Players and also "The Pirates of Penzance" for Batley G&S Society".

This time I am sticking to one job, and what a job it has been, together with our Choreographer, Kazia, and Musical Director, Jon, we have worked tirelessly to bring you what we hope will be a fantastic production of this wonderful show. The Cast have worked so hard and the children have been a delight to work with.

Make no mistake this is not all my own work, this is a team effort and thanks to the society for giving me the opportunity to Direct for them again.

Jonathan Wilby - Musical Director

As a trained singer and musician Jon has been working in the theatre for over 30 years. He has done UK tours of the opera Tosca, La Boheme and Il Trovatore as well as lead roles in the European and UK premiers of Appomatox and The Voyage by Phillip Glass. Jon is in much demand all over the country as a Musical director and performer in both the musical theatre and the classical world.

Kazia Gamble - Choreographer

Kazia has been singing, dancing and acting for as long as she can remember, making her stage debut at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford at the tender age of nine.

She trained at the Gainsborough Stage School, and has performed in countless productions over many years in many different theatres.

If pushed to name the best show she has appeared in she would have to say Chicago at the Bradford Playhouse as it was choreographed by her daughter Donna and musically directed by her son Danny!

Kazia is also an experienced choreographer and is delighted to fulfil that role with the Heckmondwike Players in this wonderful production.
